has anyone installed grease fittings on the stock control arms and other steering/suspension components? just wondering if this would be easier than dropping a lot of money for a shop to install all new bushings up front. all the damn squeekng is getting really old. and yes all the balljoints are new.

I would have to think no - not in situ anyway. Drilling and tapping would leave metal shards in the grease, which would destroy the joints. They would have to be completely cleaned and degreased afterwards then repacked with fresh grease.

ive heard from and seen old timers coat the drill bit with a solid coat of grease tobcatch it all. but hey with a soon to be 11 year old truck with 150k miles it may just be time for new hardware.

We've done it on a chevy tracker's lower ball joint. The joint was still tight, but squeaked really bad. The guy got rid of the vehicle so I can't say much on longevity.
