I found this 4x4 3.9 automatic for $800 in April of 2020. In June I had a friend who was building a 408 stroker for his ram and said he would cut me a good deal on a 5.2 (we called it a 318) it didn't take a lot to convince me this truck should be a v-8. And so it was.
