I saw a late 80s ranger with a dually kit on it. It was probably around 12-13 years ago. J.C. Whitney used to sell dually conversion kits for F-150s, Ram 1500s, Chevy 1500s, etc. They also had kits for S-10s, Rangers, and Toyota Pickups.

I would be interested in to cost of the conversion kit. I love the look of the Duallys but have not need for the 10-foot bed most have. I could have a Regular Cab Dually Dakota, that would turn quite a few heads.

I just called them. The conversion is still availible. The price for the painted wheels, rear fenders,6 wheels and the front and rear wheel adaptors.2100.00 Its really not that bad if you think about it.The are sending me some pictures in the mail.I will scan them and post them when they come in.

The guy actually sounded surprised when I asked for it.

The dually on a quadcab looks too small the truck just isn't big enough for a dually. What kind of power is lost? Added weight and friction of 2 more tires has to hurt mpg's substantially.
