I just picked up an '06 Durango with the 4.7 & 192K on it.
I noticed the oil change sticker on the windshield said it was due back at 195K, so it had been changed maybe 500 miles ago.
So I went to change the oil, nothing but I'd say sludge, milkshake type of thicker liquid came out.
I also had a valve cover off to do lifter(s) & the underside of the valve cover was coated in the same sludge.
I opened the radiator cap & the coolant is clean as can be.
IF there's a bad head gasket, cracked head, etc, wouldn't that be visible when looking at the coolant in the radiator? I just don't know where water would be coming in from.
