Angry Smashed up R/T

Well some retard had his truck pop in gear in the upper tier parking lot, it rolled down the hill and slammed into an S-10 then pushed the S-10 into the rear of my R/T.
http://s177.photobucket.com/albums/w...ifty824/crash/

And to make things worse the kid who started it, with the Brown GMC, doesn't have insurance! My insurance won't cover it so it looks like I have to take him to court....

My truck needs a new bed, rollpan, taillights, fender flares, and paint. I go WyoTech so I will have the collision and refinishing shop do all of the work.

I have a few questions. It needs a new bed, its all wrinkled and beat to hell. What years of Dakotas share the same bed? I have a 1998. I found a bed for a 2000 but I'm not exactly sure if it will work with my truck. Does anybody know the interchangeable years? Also, does anybody have the Bushwacker Street style fender flares? I want to keep it a stock look and would like your guys' opinions on them.

Thanks for the help.......

That sucks hope it works out for you.
The beds fit from 97-2004 reg and extended cabs only. Quad cabs are different and wont work.

That sucks man. I would certainly call the police, file a report and take him to court. You will need proof he was driving when your truck was damaged, the Police can document that for you. You also need to debunk the S10 driver's credibility and you can do that by proving he was driving without insurance. Good luck brother.

that kid looks like a punk, I hope he was given a ticket for not having insurance. This might be a good time to add uninsured motorists to your policy, it can't cost that much more a month. I pay $75 a month for my ford for full coverage from safe auto, might be worth shopping around.

Before Brian (hskrt) says it:

'If you had a bumper, that damage wouldn't have been nearly as bad. That's why I run this huge ugly bumper cover.'

That's sucks ass though...I'd have probably beat that little shit's ass for not having insurance.

Yes that kid in the orange is who's truck it was. The police were called on the spot. All claims have been filed with insurance and whatnot. The police could not site him, even though it is a law in Pennsylvania to have insurance, because the incident happened on private property.

Honestly, I think if I had the actual bumper on it, it would have twisted the shit out of the frame. Instead the frame just cut right through the rollpan.....

The kid wasn't even in the truck when it took off. He was on the upper tier parking lot under his hood adjusting timing. On the security tapes you can just see the truck drop into gear and take off down the hill.

The kid is a bit of a punk yea, but I can tell he is just scared shitless. The S-10 had to be totaled and he owes me a good bit of cash.
Yea... full coverage with uninsured motorists will definitely be added to my policy.

Hmm damage isnt that bad. Being rearended 4 times I can tell you your looking at about $3500 in total damage as long as the bed didnt smack the cab to put dents or paint chips in the metal. If that happened, then your looking at around $4000-$4500.

Bed side quarter panel: $1,050
Tail Gate: $325
Roll Pan $280ish (cant tell which one it is)
Paint and labor the remaining cost.

Sucks to see a sweet truck in that position, hope you get things taken care of.
