max boost on 5.2?

hey guys, on a stock 5.2 magnum, what is the max amount of boost i can run on 91 octane? also how much timing retard is required as well as what AFR? does it matter if the boost if from a turbo or super charger?(i think im set on a turbo though) how much more boost or timing can be run with an air to air intercooler?
thx!

does not matter where the boost comes from. the intercooler will drop your boost levels 2-3 psi depending on what style you run. as for boost numbers.... all depends on your set up. stock i wouldn't push more then 6-8 psi.

cool, i didnt think so.
so if i were to run an IC i would measure the boost pressure after the IC?(or that 6-8 psi would be 3-6 psi)

You should run the pressure from the maifold.

If you need a BTM or FMU set up, I have both for sale in the classifieds.

upgrade the in tank pump and put a inline aux pump as well. i ran mine on low boost with 19lb injectors for a min. then put in larger ones.

the stock pump will not flow enough when you get into boost. you run a aux pump to up the pressure with boost.

I wouldn't even try running more than 7 or 8 psi on 91 octane without some sort of timing retard.

if you buy a replacement in tank pump, why not just get one big enough to avoid buying an inline pump??

MS can retard as much timing as i want
