Differentiating between a 318/360 at the junkyard?

Whats the easiet way to tell the difference between a 318 and 360? Assuming you don't know the VIN#, or other labels on the engine are not available? Do I have to take a head off and measure the bore?

There is a casting on the side of the block that will say 360 or 318, is what i was told.

According to my 99 FSM, the engine serial number is stamped into a machined pad located on the left, front corner of the block. The serial number will start with a number (year of cast), followed by a letter (casting plant), followed by a 5.2L or 5.9L Hope this helps.
