sounds like one of the bulbs are out. Does your front side marker usually blink along with the turn signal? It does on a gen II not sure about a genIII.

That happened to me just this last weekend. It was my driver's side rear turn and brake light that went out.

4157 I believe is the proper replacement bulb.

If you don't have led's, you have a bad bulb or a bad socket.

i dont have LED's but i dont understand how the bulb could be bad if the signals are still working, to top it off i went to fix it and it was working fine, then i drove around a while, and it started again.

As I mentioned before. You have a bad bulb or a bad socket. Turn the signal on and check one bulb at a time by twisting and wiggling each one until you fine the one that is causing the problem. You have 2 in front and 1 in the rear.

The 3157 bulb which is used for the front turn signals (2 bulbs per corner), brake lights, and reverse lights is a dual-filament bulb. For instance, the tail light illuminates 1 filament if you just have your lights turned on, but the 2nd filament kicks in when you hit the brakes. Although the bulb appears to work in certain circumstances, it's possible that only one of the filaments in the bulb is broken.

That's odd. Because when I took out my brake/turn signals out this weekend, they were 4157's.

I do know that even though it looked fine, even with both filaments intact, it still wasn't working, mabye something in the base. Not sure.

Wait, I just remembered something. It was the brake light that was out, not the turn signal part. My wife was driving behind be last weekend and noticed that my brake light wasn't working. I had previously checked the turn signal and it was working because I checked due to the rapid flashing. But I didn't check the brake part. Hope it helps dude!
