1998 Durango won't start

Hey everybody I'm hoping that someone can help me out. My 5.2 L won't start and I'm looking for some suggestions. On occasion if I enter the car too fast the security system has prevented me from starting the car, I bought it used and don't have the key fobs to activate or deactivate the alarm. What happens is the car will start run for about 30 seconds and die and no matter how many times I try to restart, it won't even run at all. Normally just get out of the vehicle lock it and open it back up and the car will start and run fine. Also of course the alarm goes off sounding the siren and flashing light. Today however the alarm simply didn't go off but the symptoms were the same. I got in the car started up just fine ran for about 30 seconds and then died. No matter how many times I tried re-cranking the engine it still would not start. I know there is enough fuel pressure because I checked it at the fuel rail and the engine spins plenty fast and the Lights don't dim or anything when cranking the motor. All the electrical connections seem to be good I checked all the spark plug wires it just doesn't seem to be getting any fire. Has anyone run into a similar circumstance? Is there a way to disable the security system so that it doesn't affect starting the vehicle. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is my primary vehicle.

I believe that the door lock on the drivers side will disarm the alarm also. I can't remember which way is which, but one position locks, one unlocks and one disarms the alarm when you turn the key. There is a special switch pack on the back of the drivers door lock if it came with an alarm system. Good Luck

Had a sim situation..turned out to be the computer fried..fuel guage was dead and the the security light would come on but had no spark. You can try testing this at the connectors, try giving them a good jousling and see if it will start?? I got one from a jyard same motor trans etc, matched the numbers and for $75 bucks and no flash from dealer needed.. been runnin it for 2 years now.. HTH
