Familiar with childseat LATCH system?

I'm trying to determine if the Latch clips are attached to the seat base, seat back, or the cab wall/floor. If anyone with a QC with the LATCH system could inspect for me that would be awesome. THANKS!

I can buy two ratcheting seatbelts for $75-$100 or I can buy a whole back seat for $50.
Any idea if a rear seat from an 04 will fit an 01? I wouldn't think anything is different...

verify and take measurements before you buy. i doubt the seat frames would be diff bolt hole wise, but ya never know.

For anyone who finds this and is trying the same thing:

I purchased the rear seat set. When I received the seat it was a dirty seat with dog hair plastered in it. I figured I would switch my covers over and all would be fine.

I removed my seat and removed both covers. Removing the covers take patience. The seat covers have to be peeled of and eventually end up inside out. Reinstalling is easier but still no picnic. When installing my seat covers on the new seat bases I found no slit in the cover for the LATCH buckle to slide through(didn't think of that). Me being the perfectionist I am...I used a razor blade and completed a small slice for each. Since they are stuffed between the seat back and base you couldn't seem the slits if you used a torch, so no problems there. The whole seal assembly bolted back in as if it were for my truck. All is great and I now have a useful rear seat for the kids. If you have any questions feel free to pm me any time.
