"No Bus" on odo when ignition on, no run!

Hi everyone,

I haven't been on here for a couple years. New car and I've only been using my '99 Durango for hauling stuff, which means I only run it about 1 time per week these days.

Anyway, I think my PCM is dead. It was running then stopped and I started to get this, "No Bus" message and my Superchips won't read the ignition as on and/or won't allow me to downgrade to the factory program. I also cannot get it to read any ODBII codes.

Here is the history. My battery got a dead cell (5.2V total). I had a friend "help" me jump it. He reversed the leads and told me to start it. I tried and the engine ran backward, so I checked, corrected it, but it wouldn't start.

Apparently a bunch of fuses blew. I replaced on to the ignition and it started, so I went to AZ to get some fuses. Drove home in the Durango. Found 5 more blown and replaced them. Then tried to start the car.

The starter turns over great. However, it doesn't seem to be getting any spark. The odometer on the dash shows the milage, blinks 4 times, and then says, "No Bus".

Am I correct? Is my PCM dead? If so, what suggestions for getting a new one. The last time I checked (while still under the manu WR, it was $800 for a new PCM). I hope it is cheaper. Will a junk yard PCM work?

Also, if I have to replace it does anyone know how much it costs to have the dealership program the correct VIN? Finally, since my PCM died with the Performance program in place, will Superchips reprogram my programmer?

Any help appreciated! Please feel free to ask for more information if I've forgotten anything essential.

PS. Guess I lost my post count during a board upgrade somewhere as I had over 500... bummer!

same thing happened to me not even 4 months ago. for me it turned out my rear wiper module was bad causeing a draw and killing the battery also some wires rubbed and shorted out on my dtc plug. took it in and they diagnosed it right away, needed a battery and they repaired the dtc plug and unplugged the rear wiper module. no more problems, i was about to replace the pcm till i decided to take it in, 400 bucks later shes running great
