a/c by pass..

Hello!

Does anyone know how would i go about by passing the a/c compressor. I want to run no a/c but still have just in case if i ever sell the truck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I called my local autozone and they had said that there is a by-pass pulley that the a/c compressor come off and the pulley bolts right in the place of the a/c compressor. Is there a different way i could also go about doing this? The reason being i want to by pass is my bearings in the compressor are going bad a i can hear the bearing balls squeak and squeal. I not really trying to buy another for 240.00 bucks i just dont have the money and this part is only 40 bucks. The help is needed thanks all

Shelby

Nope, You need to do the old trick. Get rope or string and run it as if installed and measure. Then go to the store and match it up.

When you find out the correct and fitted belt, let me know please which one you ended up with. I just spent 3 days trying to get one to fit and yes, I have the same as you ... '99 5.9 with no AC and a KB. I MADE a 113" belt work but I stress the word MADE. It's not ideal but it will allow me to run until I get the belt that will fit the routing I intend. I'm gonna guess that you'll need a 104" length belt.

I found a GatorBack belt today that fits my '99 non-A/C KB SC 5.9 as per the way I wanted the thing routed. Interested?
