the video gives the impression that it's pretty docile @ launch. Is that really the case ? It almost looks too smooth the be that fast, if that makes any sense. The numbers don't lie though
Yes. We're leaving like gramma at launch with 1.9, 1.8 60' and there is some tire slip due to poor traction conditions, not optimizing the suspension, etc....plus our goal for that day wasn't to get the best ET, but rather make sure everything was in proper working order on this newly assembled truck before we deliver it 110% complete to our customer in Louisiana. Hence the "crappy" ET for that MPH. See attached time slips.
We still have some programming to do on the street, which will also help and If and when the customer is ready to "dial it in" at the track, we'll spend the time to sort things out to get her to apply the power to the pavement better. Once she's dialed in, the E.T. will "catch up" to the MPH, and there's still more MPH's still in her too...she's only at 12-13 psi.
This truck was built as a total sleeper, street/strip toy. It's full steel shell with all the added goodies weighs 4480 lbs. She's quiet, comfortable with all the creature comforts and the overdrive tranny, she's stock appearing yet will totally surprise the crap out of any Z06 that attempts to mess with him on the highway and she should still fly under the radar of the local cops because she's not "flashy" or "loud"...well, unless of course he flies by a cop doing 125 on the highway or something.
Built to last, yet be a blast....on the finishing the next 2 Dak's in line so we can deliver more happy horsepower!
