Hey all...been a while since I checked on this one. Had to replace the passenger side head on our 01, 4.7 Durango. Since then, it would not even spark. Messed around with it here and there. Finally, I pulled the camshaft position sensor, to find that the end had a gouge mark in it. I just so happen to have the original sensor from the busted head, so I put it in...I cranked on the ignition and I got a puff back through the throttle body!!!
So, is that telling me that I may have the timing off by a tooth? When I put the darn thing back together, everything was lined up per the shop manual.
Should I keep trying to crank it over and see if I can get it to fire, or should I pull the right side valve cover and check the timing marks?
I want to get this thing out of my driveway and my LIFE!
