ok....so i had a code for an o2 sensor and swapped out all of them (figured they were a few years old, wasn't a bad idea). 50 miles later i get another MIL. 6 codes: random cyl misfire, misfire cyls 1, 4, 5, 7 & 8. before i go nuts, could this be because the o2s fouled out the plugs and that should be it?

just trying to work the bugs out of the system. currently i'm running regular plugs (stock champions) with MSD 8.5mm wires and an accel cap & rotor and stock coil.

thoughts?

That AND pull an o2 again and make sure it's not fouled from the previous learned pcm fuel tables being way rich possibly. I've been there chasing my tail with fould o2's and a weak coil on top of that.

well, the o2s only have 50 miles on them...can they foul out THAT quickly? the plugs have about 600 miles on them....which seems possible that they'd foul out. the coil is stock...just trying to decide which one i want (accel, MSD or performance distributors)

It's not likely, but possible. My case had one other thing going on, head gasket sealant that was supposedly o2 safe, I just think there was too much and fouled out my o2's that had 65k on them. I had to clean my wideband o2 which was further downstream. That wasn't as bad. It's worth pulling one just to make sure along with some good NGK plugs in the 6 or 7 heat range, 7 being the colder if you need it.

Performance Distributors? They make a stock style coil or is it another style?

www.performancedistributors.com they have a whole kit for the Dodge magnum engines....but i don't know anyone who's used it.

do you know the part numbers for the NGK plugs to use? i'm used to autolite 3923s...but everyone was out of stock when i put the motor together

7 stock # is 6855(it was 2975), range 6 is 4291.

Now it's getting hard to find the zfr7f-11 but there is a zfr7f that is what I've also used. EVERYTHING is the same except for the strap length is shorter because it is for a .035 gap. You have to look really hard with them side by side to see that the zfr7f strap is a "hair" shorter.

http://www.ngk.com/results_cross.asp...fr7f&x=30&y=15
It's for a honda marine engine app.
