I can start my truck, run it till shes warm, if i shut it off i cant start it unless i wait about 2 hours, the fuel pump just got tested and the pressure is good, what could it be?????
describe it a little more. cranks over fine? wants to start but just wont? or does it do nothing at all? did you check for spark? do you smell gas when your cranking it?
Is it shutting off by it self at all? 99 PCMs across a number of forums have had issues. A number of thos post have indicated it occures more so when hot. The vehicle may shut off and no-bus may appear in the odometer window. Some have found wiggling the connectors may cause it to momentarly fix itself. The is a recent post here that indicated an internal solder connection at the connector.
beat me to it! also, check for spark! i had issues with all my dodges that were coil related. is the metal ring arround the coil rusted and seperating the plates? fire it up and wait for it to cut out, wiggle the pcm connections and try it, then check the coil for spark, also chech the power going into the coil.
I know this was quite a while ago, but I didn't see the results of a cure for this... Did you eventually figure it out? My son just bought a Durango and it is doing the same exact thing...thanks in advance...
