So I went ahead and purchased a nitrous kit plus an accessory kit, all I'm lacking is a window switch. I called NX and they recommended the MSD digital window switch. Besides what's included in these two kits is there anything else I need? Any advice for a nitrous newbie? Especially considering my 4.7 still has stock internals. How low should I start out and how high should I go? Etc etc etc.

Well I got both kits for a really good price. I paid 395 for the main kit and 375 for the acc kit which has the bottle heater, purge kit, blow down tube, FPSS, etc. So if I go with a momentary switch I will be good? Of course as long as I don't spray at low RPM or around 6k when I hit my shift points. Have you considered going up to 100 HP?

I bet your engine could handle 100 easy.

12's !!!!!!! I sure wish my truck was lighter and smaller. I'm also considering the NANO kit.

What about the NANO system? Anyone have any thoughts on this? For me it would be worth it bc I can't afford to have multiple bottles filled. Plus I've read and like you said once you get below 1/2 a bottle you don't get a full hit.

Can't beat that.

Yeah I'm going to install mine this weekend as well. For now I'm just going to use a push button and start out with 50 HP. Just not sure if I can wire the WOT switch, FPSS, and a push button together.

Where are you going to mount your bottle?

Mine is the zex so it has the built in tps and thinking either behind the pass. seat would like the bed but with cloth bed cover and then when I have the SRT spoiler on I can't run the bed cover so no protection for it. So prob inside which is why not running it yet need to get a blowdown tube to be on the safe side and want to get the window switch adapter connected

I'm assuming you have a blow down tube? Are you using the micro switch/WOT switch on your TB or a FPSS with your push button? Or is it simply a push button only?

Do you spray through shifts?

I may have to put my bottle in the bed so I can keep the valve facing the front of the truck. I have a QC but there's not much room to install it that way and still be able to use my seat when needed.

i still need to get a purge kit how you have yours is kinda how i want to do mine. I was putting in part of mine to day and guy in my complex comes over to look at what im doing and he's like what are you doing so i let him know im mocking up the nitrous kit and he then says "you have nitrous in this thing why would you want nitrous you cant use it leaving from stop lights or anything" I just shook my head and said well i can if the mood hits me and the other guy there with me just laughs. Ive got that same comment about 4 or 5 times so far.

I get a somewhat similar response. Isn't your TPS switch built in the box with the solenoids?

#35 ·
I wanted to wire mine up the same but I'm not sure how to wire it up so it has to be at WOT before I can spray.

So just simply solder it in the wire for the master arming switch or the WOT switch?
