Do not tell someone to use a heat gun that has never used one before- Results will be boiled paint. Just grab the thick plastic emblems and pull them up with some pliers or run a plastic wedge under neath them. to remove the rest of the sticky foam and the decal letters get an eraser wheel for your drill. will take it all off- just don't press real hard and make sure it doesn't get to hot or you will burn through the clear coat- works 100 times better than goo gone.

i think it would be safer for a first timer to use a heat gun over an eraser wheel. a heat gun is common sense, just get it warm to the touch. i used an eraser wheel on my GMC's side moldings, and used it as recommended by a body shop, and it took little speckles of paint off. had to get the doors re-painted from the body line down. the shop said depending on the age of the paint that sometimes those wheels do more harm than good.
