I had an 04. i had no problems with it the entire time I owned it. I also drove it through 2 winters with the bfg kdw2s (summer tires) without problems. i guess some people just don't know how to drive in snow. It was my DD and was usually right around 22-24mpg with my heavy foot. I ran a 14.2 @102 stock on a shitty track. With some track prep it would have easily gone into the high 13's. I put a set of heavy 18s, an agp wastegate set at 18psi, and a set of agp dogbones and turned 104mph. in the quarter, still at low 14s. I did have one run that would have been well into the 13s but I was bracket racing and got on the brakes at the end of the track so I wouldn't break out. If I would have kept the stock wheels, I would have been alot quicker.

The only reason I got rid of it was because I wanted something different. I tend to get bored with my car and go for something else.

Good info in here guys, thanks a ton! I always check out what cars are for sale around here (just to see whats what) and I never see these but I'll keep an eye out since they seem to have a fairly good reputation. If I ever got rid of the Dakota, I know I'd be kicking myself the first time I needed to bring something home from Home Depot ...Maybe down the road sometime these things will be dirt cheap and good projects.
