I have had pretty much the same "leak" you describe and it was due to a leaking valve cover gasket. As for the cloud of smoke, if it was coolant, you'd see your coolant level going down. Probably a blown plenum gasket, or leaking intake manifold gasket(i've had that happen as well) But if you plan on putting the supercharger on, it wouldn't be a bad idea to pull the heads and replace the head gaskets while you are at it. How many miles on the engine?

are you sure it's coming from above the oil filter? mine has a rear main that leaks on occasion, it coats the engine from above the oil filter down. The best way to determine is to replace the filter, degrease the whole thing, then monitor it.

Nobody will listen because you know what the fuck you're talking about. Stop making sense.

It could also be rear main seal, but not very likely.

Does the exhaust actually smell like oil, or are you just smelling oil burning off the manifolds/exhaust?

I would start where Mopar318 suggested. Check the oil pressure sending unit, check the distributor too. If the o-ring is destroyed, it will leak like a sumbitch.
