Last Thursday I took my dad to work in the morning(65 mile drive) since we were going out of town for a wedding and his work is on the way there. For the past couple of years I have driven him to work in the Neon, both before and after I put my K&N Typhoon intake, MSD coil and wires, and finally Royal Purple in the trans and never felt strained. Last Thursday, it did not feel right. I noticed a lack of power and it felt like it would lug sometimes. IDK if this may be related to my previous codes I had come up(No help from you bastards:boid:) which was a P0455 and P0562. The CEL never came on since then and I even went to the local O'Reilly's Auto Parts to check my battery and alternator and both checked out. So, I am wondering if it may be just build up in the fuel lines or clogged fuel filter. The last time I had drivability issues was last fall, when the gas I usually bought from caused predet and piss-poor FE and stopped going to them. So, what do you guys think the problem might be? O3 Neon SE with the 2.0L SOHC HO, auto.

how hard is it to look up the codes yourself?? there is a thread about all the codes in the troubleshooter section.

The two codes threw me off because when I had the P0455 code come up last fall, it ended up being a plugged up cat, I was hoping that wasn't the problem again but it wasn't, thankfully. Didn't get any responses last time and this time I am a little uneasy, since I want to do more mods but if it means I have to pay out of pocket next time(8/80K emissions equipment warranty almost up), then I might have to up it on hold.
I just thought that those codes might be indication of this issue or more to come.

I think I may have found why it felt a little sluggish: checked the K&N filter and it was black instead of deep red. i won't be able to get to it tonight as I only have one set of jack stands but will get another set tomorrow. Also will look at my PCV valve and the vacuum lines just in case.

Still sluggish and now a clue: the gas gauge has gone down a 1/4 the tank, like it's running rich. No codes, no stumbling, nothing. Need to figure this out in the next two weeks because my brother is taking it to college and he will be 3.5-4 hours away. Any ideas?

Well, it looks like it may have been a combination of issues: the rear hubs going out, the K&N filter being clogged, and the gas may have been bad(though I have been buying from Conoco/Philips since this past winter after the Breaktime stations gas was causing serious issues like pinging in this car and C/P has been good gas for me.) I just filled it up yesterday and put in a full bottle of GumOut's All-In-One gold bottle and have only gone about 22 miles on this tank, hopefully will see if I am still having issues.(Thinking about doing the timing belt, but, IDK if I should or shouldn't, the car has around 80K on it right now and from the owners manual, the Haynes manual, and from Dodge's service site, the timing belt interval change is 77K min, 90K, and 105K.)
