How do you guys do all this fourwheeling with out any recovery points? Are you ignoring my previous question because it is too easy?

I think most people get by with just a hitch on the back.
I know some people have gotten front mounting hitches put up front, and I've also seen tow hooks. I haven't dealt with either of these in person, but the front mount hitch installs just like the regular rear ones. The tow hooks will requite some drilling and a notch to be taken out of the front bumper. From the pictures I've seen the notch isn't noticable unless you crawl under the vehicle. I've got a tow hook that I have yet to install, it was originally intended to mount on the stock bumper of a Wrangler.

I never offroad without hooks, hitch, strap, and my reciever shackle. Infact, I didn't take my truck offroading hard until I had tow hooks, and aluminum skid plates on it. Granted I usually tow from the rear, since I'm the one doing the pulling, but wouldn't ever offroad like I do now without tow hooks on the front. A hitch is a MUST, and tow hooks are too, but they're just not as easy as a bolt-on hitch.
I've actually seen people offroad in tough places like the dunes, and the Badlands Offroad Park with open differentials front/rear, and NO recovery points except for the bumpers (like they'd do any good). It amazes me to see people in "4wd" (though more like 2wd) when it should never leave the pavment...
To answer your question, I never do ANY offroading, without a safe recovery point front AND rear. Though my hitch is 10x stronger than the tow hooks, they've handled the abuse of snap straps a few good times.
