Hey guys
I jsut put a body lift on my Dak about 1 month ago. 2 days ago the plastic T where the radiator cap goes broke right at the edge where the upper radiator hose goes in the motor. Lucky it happend jsut as i parked the truck and heard it sap and gush fluid out. After taking it off and looking at it the plastic inside was soft and rotted. ( I know this happens to plastic after a lot of heat exposure. It just gets Brittle) Anyway i just replaced it with a new part. I used some of the old hose that had a 45* bend in it from the radiator to the T fitting then the new hose from the T fitting to the engine water inlet. Since it broke so clean I believe the added stress of having it bent/ cocked after the 3 inch body lift helped cause the break.
Im sure that the part was going out anyway but the BL added to it IMO. Not to freak anyone out or anything but jsut passing on some info.
Ill post a pic tonight
