89 Jeep Cherokee...

So I posted a while back about getting an '89 Cherokee XJ for free. Its a runner, 4.0L, 5 speed. Base Cherokee. Was toying with the 408 CID idea but I found a guy that has his 4.0l bored and stroked to 4.7l. That caught my intrest. So in keeping with the Jeep drivetrain, I do believe thats the route Ill be taking. Need to do a little more homework but Im very intrested in that idea. No header issues, steering shaft issues, tranny issues. Pretty much plug and play if you will. Heres the link.....

The 4.0L Jeep I6 is dogged for its performance but there is potential and can take a nice bore and stroke. About the only hindrance I can think of is the intake manifold. :huh:
