I know this should be in the for sale section, but I wanted to put it here too. Im going to sell one of the computers I have to run a Hemi. I know it works, I drove with it for a few weeks in my newly Hemi'ed truck. This one was programmed by B&G Performance in Warren, Mi. He is prob one of the best in the business and is the only guy I know of rite now who can remove the security system on the comp and still have it run. This one had the rear O2's removed, also the line pressure in the trans is increased and the torque management is removed from the motor. Its basically like doing a shift kit without doing the work. Ill sell this one for what I paid for it, $300 plus shipping.

Is it completely stand alone? I'm building a 56 Ford F-100 and I am installing a 5.7 Hemi from a 2004 Durango. If your computer would work I'd be interested.

It is stand alone meaning that it will work in any situation. As long as it has the proper wiring harness and connections on the motor, it will run it. This will work with any of the custom harnesses from companies like Street & Performance, Hot Wire Auto, etc... The main thing that makes it stand alone is the fact that it has the security system removed. It also will run just fine with out all the other unnecessary factory sensors like a battery temp, ambient air temp, etc...
As long as you are using the factory 545rfe trans, this will work for you

It sounds like it'll work....can you tell me why you're looking to sell it?

Sure, I bought 3 actually in total. The first one was a stock ecm that has the security on it. I got a 2nd one from Hot Wire Auto. I thought there was something wrong with that ecm too that ended up being that my wiring was still wrong. I just had not figured that out before I scrambled to get to B&G to get this thrid one (he is local to me). Well, after I figured out the problems I actually had, I had 2 working ecm's. I have seen how hard it is to come by a good Hemi ecm for a decent price so I didnt want to hoard a couple for myself for no reason. I decided to keep the one from Hot Wire Auto and sell the B&G unit. I paid 300 for each of them, so I decided I would put this one back up there for the same amount. Id be happy to answer any other questions you may have and am sure I can help you along the way with your Hemi project, even if you are putting a Hemi into a Ford...

Thanks, I'll need all the help I can get! The only other questions I had is will my gear ratio or tire size make any difference? This Engine has 8 individual coils unlike the earlier with 4, will it work? How can I get you paid?
This is the truck I drove in High School and when My Dad and I originally built it it had all Chevy running Gear. I got so sick of going to car shows and finding every "street rod" had exactly the same 350/350 power plant as mine. I tore the whole truck apart and I now have a brand new Todd Walton chassis with Heidts front suspension (mustang II), a Currie 9 inch with 4-link and coil overs in the rear and Baer disc brakes all the way around. I'm ready to install a power plant so I bought a 4.6l 32 valve Lincoln Engine to power it but I have always been a Hemi fan. Believe it or not my 3 year old sons name is Hemi. More than likely this truck will be handed down to him just like it was handed down from Great Uncle to my Dad and then down to me so I figured, this truck is for a Hemi so it should have Hemi. You can send me a private message if you'd prefer to give me payment options etc.

The gear ratio and tire size will do nothing to the computer. You will just have to figure out how to get a speedometer reading from somewhere which will be hard unless you have 4x4 so the sensor can be in the transfer case. The Hemi has an output speed sensor that it uses for the speedometer.
Mine has 8 coils, this ecm will run that without a problem as long as the harness is done rite.
Paypal works for me for payment. I wont have a day off now until wednesday so that is the earliest I could ship it for you.

No mine will not be 4x4, will that change anything in the ECM? Does the output speed sensor control shift points etc.? Or is just used for driving the speedo? I figured the gear ratios would change the shift point.
Wednesday is fine, I have plenty to do...

Not having 4 wheel drive will do nothing to the ecm, nothing on mine is connected to the transfer case. There are 2 speed sensors, 1 input and 1 output. Together they help the trans know what gear to shift into. Again, Im not sure how you will be able to hook up a speedo to this, im not sure if there is another speed sensor in the tailshaft in the 2wd transmission.

I've been doing a little research and it looks like there is a wire that comes from the ECM that goes to the speedo on the Hotwire harness (#15 Green). Dakota Digital makes a digital cluster for my truck and they sell a speedometer interface that is adjustable to correct the pulses per minute going either to the ECM from the Outputs speed sensor or fom the ECM to the speedometer in order to read the correct speed. Just like everything, enough money will cure it I think.....

I have another question for you... I read an old post from you back in december about running MDS. Does the ECM you sold me run MDS? I thought my engine was a 2004 but everything on it indicates its a 2007 and I found a harness that leads under the intake manifold which from everything I read indicates it has MDS so if yours works that would be awesome. i'm sending my harness out to a guy in NY that is going to re-wire for the truck so I just wanted to know if I should tell him to leave it on. Thanks!

If you want to run the MDS you cannot use the ecm I you just bought from me. It is for the '04 and '05 Hemi motor and 545rfe trans. I already shipped you the ecm too, you will have it on monday. Sorry I didnt get that info to you earlier, but it has been quite a day for me to say the least and I have a ton of things going on rite now.
Anyway, Im pretty sure that you are having the harness done by the same guy that did mine. Did you 'buy' the work on ebay? If so and it is done the same as mine, it will not be complete and will not run. I hope he has fixed his problems. I will talk with him and see what he has to say. If it is the same guy, I alteast know what you have to do to make this thing work.
I dont know if you can run an MDS motor with a non MDS ecm by just leaving the lifter collapsing solenoid wires out.
You do have a few options rite now tho. You can try to run the motor you have now with my ecm, you can get an 04-05 Hemi motor and sell your MDS motor or you can try to get an MDS ecm and clear off the security system and you can sell the ecm to someone else. I already know of one guy that wants it anyway.

No problem It's not your fault. I should have looked closer before bringing the engine home. The guy I bought it from told me it was an 04 but I just realized the other day that everything I look at is marked 2007. I was happy about it being newer until I realized that theres a mysterious harness going under the intake...once again totally my fault for not checking closer before bringing home. I guess that's the last time I look at an engine with a skull fracture and two hematomas.
I haven't bought anything yet but I'm sure it's the same guy I found him on Ebay as well. I sent him the wiring harness install Diagram from Hot Wire and he said that he could do the same for $410.00 He said the extra was for the fuse block and the data link. I was planning on sending my harness to him today or tomorrow. Do you recommend the guy or should I spend the extra $500.00 and go with Hot Wire?
I'm not sure, I guess we'll find out. If anyone out there knows for sure I would appreciate it...I know Mopar sells a cam and lifter kit to eliminate MDS so I would imagine it can be done.
I'm not sure just yet....I still have plenty of work to do before I'll know. The engine is like new and I got a great deal on it so I'll probably keep it. I'll do a little research today and see if I can just leave the MDS disconnected, if not I'll get the guy's number from you.
You've been really honest and up front with me....I appreciate everything. If you're ever out in So Cal. I owe you a beer.
