what are you guys doing to get the r/t wheels to fit on a gen 2. I just lowered my truck more (spindles) so of course my 15's hit the a-arms. I put my rt's on so I could turn it and they still hit a little at full lock. The center caps also won't fit over the bearing caps cuz it's 2wd. I know putting in extended studs and some spacers will solve the problem but I don't want the wheels to stick out any more than they do.

The turning at full lock is just something you have to deal with because the R/T wheels have so much backspace in them. For the center cap... Pop off the grease cap and grind down the spindle far enough to where you can pound the grease cap down far enough for the center cap to pop on.

If there is enough clearance, and there usually is, take the caps and flatten the end. Support it on the inside with a socket and then wack it. I've even heard of guys doing while its mounted on the hub. It doesn't take much because the metal is fairly thin.

grind down the excess material on the a-arms.

Where the wheel is hitting... I would not recommend that.

I was thinking of wailing on them with my 5lb hand sledge. It should work for now unless someone has tubular a-arms available. The wheel hits @ the spring bucket so it's pretty strong there. It's got a j-bend around the perimeter of the a-arm that looks like it'll smash flat pretty easy (should be good for the extra 1/2 inch on each side I need). This way no metal is removed and the strength should be pretty much intact. Thanks for the info guys
