It really depends on how much you want to get out of it. You can just put the SC right on the totally stock engine and will see some nice gains and will last a long while. If you want to get some more bang out of it then you could Get a bigger or ported Throttle Body, M1 manifold, True dual exhaust, R/T or Edelbrock heads, then a custom PCM flash would REALLy wake things up with all that................the list goes on and on. Just depends on how much you have to spend and how much you want to get of of the entire package.

Yeah, like i said the list goes on and on. Heck, my 360 ended up turning into a 408 shortblock and a paxton novi 2000, lol.

hey guys thanks for the help...well im not really worried about gettin nemore power out of it besides the supercharger (wont be so bad if i do get more :) ) i just want to make sure my engine will hold up...so you're sayin i can throw a supercharger on a completely stock 360 and itll be perfectly fine? thanks again

You should really upgrade the exhaust as you are putting alot more air in and need to get more out. Also consider an MSD BTM to retard your timing as it makes boost. I was told I didnt need to make any changes when I installed my Procharger and it broke a pistoni the first 100 yards as result of detonation and a lean condition. Definetly get an air/fuel ratio guage to make sure it is running correctly. Nice choice on a blower!! You'll love it! :banana2:
I have a ProCharger also and I uprgraded my fuel injectors to 24 lbs. injectors. Of course when you go bigger injectors, the PCM will need to be flashed to be able to manage them. I also did an MSD Digital 6 w/ BTM, M1, 53mm special build for SC TB, big tube headers, and 3" single exhaust. Most of these mods I did not intend to add too much to the SC, but more to support it and make it so my motor lasts longer.

The Paxton kit comes with a BTM, which you will need to make sure you use, and run the best gas you can get, detonation is the enemy and will smoke your stock headgaskets in a heartbeat. You can run the stock gaskets for a while tho if you're careful (when they pop, replace 'em the FelPro 1008's, or you could be proactive and do it ahead of time). I would also invest in a wideband O2 setup, so you can monitor your a/f at all times, run it lean and you'll be paying for a new shortblock. After that, get used to the blower, and once you want more power I would do the following mods, bigger tb (min 55mm, I'm running a 58mm), 4bbl M1, 1.7 rockers, headers, true dual exhaust (no cats if you can get away with it). And then start saving for a built tranny :) The power is addictive, and if you can be content with just the blower on a stock engine, then you have way more self control than I do LOL

iv heard so many different things now, im getting a little confused...some people say a 53mm TB and 2bbl M1 would be fine and then others say to get a 4bbl and various different sizes of the TB to go with it, i dont know which to go with :help:

An important thing to think about when buying a supercharger: Every single manufacturer likely used a bone stock truck as the R&D vehicle. Although you may not be making maximum horsepower, you will likely have the least tuning issues if the rest of the engine is still stock.
As Dave (bad360rt) mentioned above, regardless of whether you want to remain stock or not you should go through the typical list of 'safety' items - good gas, good plugs, good a/f meter, etc.
If you're willing to cross the line and start making modifications (which almost everyone eventually does anyways), then some sample parts to install would be a bigger throttle body, M1 intake manifold (2bbl or 4bbl is a longer debate), and headers (Mopar/Hooker/GSM/etc. another debate).

well i already plan on at the end of the year having a set GSM headers and spintechs true duals from them and after that ill be somewhat broke for awhile so its gonna be awhile before i can get the blower...but i guess when it gets closer to me being able to get it ill have to figure out whether to get a 4bbl or a 2bbl and what size TB, cause right now...i have no idea lol thanks for all the help guys
BTW...dave iv seen ur truck on plenty of other sites and i absolutley love it, great job man :biggthump
