View Full Version : We need to have a meet
hey, anyone up for a NW WA meet? i'm thinking we could get a group together and maybe do a little clean up down at the Nooksack River. Somebody dumped tons of lettuce and bags of celery down there. The local 4x4 club (Ranier Ridge Ram 4x4) has talked about cleaning it up, but no results, so I'm trying to take it into my own hands. So, anyone interested in getting serious about this?

That would be a drive for me.
Yeah, being in Yakima, that would be a hell of a trip, so it's understandable if people who are real far away can't come.
Yes we need a meet of some sort, somewhere. Not sure I want to clean up lettuce and celery tho. I think most peeps i NW section have 4x4's dont they?

I don't think I want to, either, but it's something that will keep the land open and make people like us w/ our 4x4s look more responsible

Down for the coast! The Nutsack river seems a bit far for me to drive... Ocean shores has some beach driving... Long beach is a bit more fun to drive on since you can get stuck a bit easier... I have no clue about the northern beaches...

I'd be down depending when....
I think Ocean Shores/Westport would be a cool place to have a meet. I like the idea of driving on the beach. It would be a long drive for me, I work every saturday anyways so I dunno.

A meet and drive would be really cool then maybe setup a lil bbq or something at the end of the drive haha. This is sort of what my buddies mustang club does every year its really fun and cool to see a convoy of a certain type of vehicle!

Plus we can always start maybe picking a month, like a once a year, go to someones house for a huge BBQ, but we can start small like going to the coast. Well its been years sence i have been over to the coast, any ideas where to go?
I don't really know anywhere South of Bellingham that well, so I wouldn't be of any use in planning, but I do agree that our meet should include a bbq and a convoy! +1!!

I agree! Drive on the beach and a BBQ... Just need to know when/where, and keep the fingers crossed the wife doesn't pop on or around that day. I'd have to drag My dad and a friend or 2 down for the meet.
4 wheelin, BBQ, oh and don't forget the Beer :mullet: Great times

Wife & I were thinking of having the Dakota-Durango BBQ at our house this year for the meet...we would provide the food....you guys (and gals) would bring what ya want to drink.....I do like the idea of the Ocean Shores drive....not sure where we could have a BBQ down there at the ocean....
Not sure we could do it all in one day....it's a 3 hour drive to the ocean from our house here in Auburn (Tacoma-Fife area).......
Just throwing out ideas here.....

I'm not too far south of you little blue guy, I'm down in graham so yea about 3 hours to ocean shores, would definitely be a full day of activities. Wife is due with 3rd kids May 15th so i'll be golden anytime except the 2 weeks surrounding that day. Just as a precaution.

LOL Well, what about after the 15th Mr McQ? I'm down for a Big BBQ, someone on this board should say something to the Dakotausa guys. I dont know how big your place is Little Blue Guy.
The ball and chain and I are going up to leavenworth this weekend. We, I mean she is going to spend some money up there. Dont know why we are spending up there, rather spend it on our rigs, maintenance things, but mostly on my rig. She owes me alots of money for the Durango. She got under my skin tonight. So i order my new Spintech 3 inch high flow cat. He He.....

Lol that'll show her!... my ball and chain has been nagging me about leavenworth since we arrived here... mostly she wants to go camping out there, but at least I can put that off till summer months... I didn't want to push the meet out to far... If the first meet will be at Little Blue Guy's place I can go anytime since I'll be close to home, but a trip to the coast would have to wait until after the peanut is born. but don't let me hold it up, plan what you want.
Little Blue Guy, I could make a trip down to you. If anything, we could meet at your place and go somewhere else, too, if we felt inclined. Any 'wheeling areas near your place?

Plus we call can go to leavenworth to go camping too. They have some sweet camp sites up there, and do some wheeling possibly. I know my wife might not make it to camping, she isnt the camping type. Which is fine by me.
That'd be awesome. I'd probably bring my gf along. she loves camping and four-wheeling (yeah I know, I found a keeper, eh?).

A meet at little blue guys' would be easier for all the people that live in eastern washington than the coast...then figure out something from there. I know last year when we all met where we did it was hell because half the roads were closed for a parade.lol- Then he was talking about a BBQ at his placeFor me any where works as long as it is a thurs-friday-sat. because I can't really get to many more days off from work. For a day meet at least auburn is about in the middle lol.

As much as I want to go to a meet. Im not sure if I can get off work on a saturday. Since wife lost her job I can hardly justify a couple tanks of gas to go all the way to the coast, but something at Leavenworth would be pretty close. Ill just have to play it by ear.

Talked with the wife...if you guys want to have BBQ at our house on Saturday, June 6th, we will provide the food, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc....you guys just have to bring what you want to drink....
You guys decide and let us know....it's on our calendar for right now....we live technically in Auburn, Washington, but actually closer to Milton, Washington. We are also about 1/4 mile from Five Mile Lake Park...

A thread has been created to arrange a NW region meet. If I consolidate these meet discussion threads the older posts will automatically show up first, so I'm just going to lock these other threads so people can focus on the one with the meet details.
