Ok i have a 2000 Dodge Durango sport with the stock grill inserts. They appear to be glued in how do i removed the stock insert without without ruining the grill. Once its out how do i install the new grill inserts? A link to a step by step instructions would be great.

To remove your stock grille inserts, you need to drill out or cut off the little plastic rivets all the way around all 4 inserts. For installation, I'd need to know what grille inserts you're installing to be better help. But if it's the SS grille, the kit comes w/metal clips to hold the inserts onto the grille shell.

im going to use mesh from homedepot and clear coat it so it doesnt rust. My durango is all black..

If that's the case then cut out the bars but leave the plastic surround with the rivets on. Then you can take some self tapping screws and screw the mesh into the plastic instead of scratching your head, thinking how the hell am I going to get it to stay on there.

Yep, thats what I did. Then I use zip ties to attach the new one. I painted mine the same color as truck and then clear coated them, also put some on the lower valance.

Don't forget, you have to provide a way to open the hood.

how do i fasten the grill inserts to the lower part of the bumber i cant find anywhere to secure the mesh too a link would be great

I drilled small holes in the bumper and attached mine with nylon zip ties. You cant even really see them unless you get down on your knees. I dont have any close up pics of the holes, but I can get you some if you would like.
