So the family vehicle, 2006 Dodge Stratus has been having some issues with the brake light(not abs) coming on under hard braking and braking through curves. The 3rd brake light has also stopped working, I'm thinking its a bulb though. I don't know if that's what's causing the light to come on though.
I've checked the pads and shoes, and everything looks normal. The rotors and drums look practically new as well. Someone have an idea of what's going on here?

What's the fluid level? I've seen cases where the brake fluid was low enough to trip the sensor light only under hard braking or cornering, which made the fluid slosh around and uncover the low brake fluid sensor.

I actually didn't think about looking until yesterday evening, it needed a bit. Hopefully this helps. But would low fluid cause the 3rd brake light to go out? I mean it may just need a bulb...unless its only made as an assembly.

3rd brake light is probably just a bulb - at least that's the first thing I would check. Second would be the switch at the pedal.
