It snowed here last night, not much, maybe abut 3 inches. The snow has been melting a little all day, with temps around 25 all day. You know what that means? Ice. I was on my way to the gym, thinking if I take major road ways, shouldn't be to bad. Wrong. It was pretty much an ice rink, about a half inch thick. I was going 15 MPH, when this lady was trying to stop at the intersection, but slid through and clipped me. I saw her sliding out and I did what drivers always say when slippery conditions, tap the brakes, or pulsate them. I did that, did a little good, but I couldn't get her stopped, and bam. Not to bad. No one was hurt, except for my car. The lady is pretty much screwed. It wasn't her car, she just had her license taken away. She had insurance, but gave me the wrong info. It was for her car, not the car she hit me with. Anyways, on to the pictures.

Didn't get pictures of the other car. It was a late 90's, maybe early 2000 Honda Accord. It was the driver side headlight, grill, and maybe a little more of the front end.

That sux. Hope you get the correct insurance info from the actual owner. Did the cops come out and cart her ass away?

Yea, my insurance company is in the works to get the correct policy#. It was her boyfriends car. No, the cops didn't take her away. She ended up backing up into appartment complexes that were around where it happened. I know where the car is, had to go look for it to get the license plate number. So far, my agent is saying that it is her fault, which I agree. The fact she didn't have a license is enough for me to say it was her fault.

Are you serious? I don't know about Oregon, but they're pretty f-in' strict on driving without a valid license in PA.

Good Luck to ya, too.

Seriously? She got away with not being hauled away for no License?!
Here in NC(at least from around here) you get carted away in a damn hurry for no license.

I'm not sure what the punishment here is. I would have to guess pretty strict. The cops weren't called. I highy doubt they could make it there anyways. All I heard was sirens almost everywhere, so a little fender bender they would probably brush off. However, if my agent and her insurance don't come to terms, I will be calling the cops. That's what my agent told me to do, and that's what I will do if it doesn't go the way we want it too.

It's always better to call the cops and wait for them to get there, especially if the other driver shouldn't be driving. Gives you an extra piece of paperwork to cover your ass for anything that might go wrong with insurance.

I agree, it's just not something I thought of when it first happened. Some devlopments. The owner of the car, her boyfriend, doesn't have insurance, and also doesn't have his license. My agent is saying to still wait for her to get more things squared away before I call the cops. I'm thinking about calling them now, but I'm going to wait to see what happens. My agent says that the insurance company she is with might cover it because she was the driver, but she isn't sure yet.

Well, just make sure you keep a detailed log of all of the events that happened and are happening, including all conversations with your insurance company. You can never trust those bastards.
