The car show took place in a long parking lot and about an hour in I was on the other end of the parking lot from where my truck was. All I hear is "WHOA!!!" and stuff of that nature from where my truck was then the whole crowd shifts to where my truck was. I say to myself "How come I have a feeling its my truck" sure enough as I'm walking that way I hear someone say "who owns the silver Dodge" I didn't say anything since I was parked next to a Silver Challenger, then I saw it. Kind of funny all I could do was laugh. I was mad, but at the same time relieved that it was just my grille shell and SS grilles nothing else. So I get the guys info made a few calls and that was that.

Well now I regret being nice to the old guy who hit me, because after the guy left people start talking to me and tell me "Yea that sucks bro and the guy was trying drive away too" So this old bag of shit was gonna hit and run, but the guys who had trucks near by stopped him.

Anyway guess I'll be calling his insurance company and hopefully they will buy new SS chrome grilles for me along with a new painted grille shell. Has anyone had to deal with Farmers before?

This was the car show: http://www.dakota-durango.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70121

HOLY SHIT!!! I would have shit a brick!!! Could have been a lot worse but shit like that dosen't need to happen at a car show. What the hell was he doing driving around where the cars are parked to begin with? Where the hell were the show attendants?

The car show was taking place in a parking lot, so there were normal cars going to what stores were open in that little shopping center.

yea luckily. If it was the fender or hood I would of flipped out.

You can't trust anybody at any time.I had my cobra in a car show last year, somehow when i went for a piss some dude parked beside me opened his door and put a huge dent in my quarter panel.I got back, was told about it through a freind, and ended up confronting the dude by throwing him to the ground.Long story short i had a dent in my car and a charge for aggrivated assault..

And that is why I didn't punch the guy in the face like everyone said they would do. Sockin him in the face wouldn't of changed the damage and I would get a charge similar to what you got and owe the state some money and if the guy is dick head he could sue my ass(this is california) and thats more money right there.

how the hell did he do that and only hit the grill?

I never got that straighten out, but I'm guessing he back up at an angle and the right hand side of his rear bumper went in my grille.

Yes it wasn't the best decision i had ever made,it was a few years ago when i had a little shorter fuse lol.Tha charges where dropped in the end so i guess it all worked out.

hate to hear that bro, if the insurance does or doesn't replace the inserts you can always get a nylon hammer or similar, straiten them out... then sell em or donate if you get new ones...

yeah going out and hitting people is stupid. Wont do anythign but get you in trouble. And if you actually hurt the person watch out your wallet will be screamin. The way i see it its a car. you have insurance or i have insurance if you dont. if you dont have insurance youll be speaking to some nice people who have badges and lights on their cars.
The last time someone hit my car they didnt have insurance. by the time I got done with the guy he was crapping pink twinkies.

after hearing that he tried to run i would def claim that the passenger headlight got cracked so you could get some new headlights out of the deal. I got nailed a few years ago by a chunk of ice off a semi and I claimed a few more things were damaged. ended up with 1700 bucks and most of that was extra.

Meh I'm not gonna lie. I like my stock headlights anyway.
