Yakima didnt get shit. Just a skiff of snow. It's been way to cold here to snow, about 20 degrees here, with 10-15 MPH winds, its 10 degrees and all next week its going to get colder. Walla Walla got about 6 inches of snow.

Well it's coming down in Bothell, I swapped off my BFGs for somethign i could actually air down and something not 10" wide. Well she sure does not go in this snow, the detroit is a bit funky in this snow.

Yeah I got my truck weighed down with old stock tires. Put on the stockers off my parts truck since they had the best tread for this crap if i had chains for those tires I'd probably be fine though.

With all the suspension mods stiffening it up and the 3.90 rear gears and locker it's certainly not very snow friendly at all. I drove it lowered in snow before but had no sway bars and it was 1" higher all around on stock tires with the 3.21 and open diff so i figured it'd be a bitch this time around. lol

I bought one of those water liners from Fred Meyer last year....filled it up with water, kinda like a water bed...I think it added 300lbs....still didn't do any good....still almost put the little truck in the lake.....

So now that liner sits in the shed....waste of about $45.....shit

Yea...we are just above Auburn here on the west hill...close to Milton....I got our house generator all ready to plug in if needed...we got about 3" of snow here...under about 1" of ice on the streets. Last storm we were without power for 4 days...spent the money, bought a 6500w generator and panel for the house. I can run the whole house if needed.

Getting ready for the wind.....again.....

I hate winter already....wouldn't be so bad, if it would just warm up about 10 degrees.....this 20-27 degree weather is crap for around here.

Really its all relative, what western Washington is getting close to record low temps this year, my buddy said in Arlington it hit -4 degrees. It is not normally this cold for our winters. Its not exactly the temps we're accustomed too here for winter so it takes some adjusting. I'm just making sure to fire up the truck and let it thaw out some since its been sitting out in this crap, the cold will suck the life out of the battery not to mention the oil is probably really thick with the 20 degree temps.

Working great, a little loud, but thats what I get for a MT tire. My wife wined about them " Why can't I have a set like those on my rig." She as a 2003 Mercury Mountianer (sp). I dont think so. I could of put 33's under the Durango but I would be really pushing it, where I would have to put a body lift on or a suspension. They would look werid on a Grandma Mobile. LOL They love to fling rocks, I need to get some mud flaps soon so my paint not going to get chipped. I went to the dealership and they wanted 90 and come change for all four mud flaps, I thought about paying for them, sense I used all my bonas on my wife instead of my truck (hood, stereo, and ect...). But 90 bucks for all new mud flaps. I'm better off getting some custom made ones that would look bad ass.

I hear ya about the rock chips. Mine throw lotsa rocks too. I just dont care for the look of most mudflaps. You could just let the paint get chipped and then put on some chrome rockers or Line-X from the crease down. Most mudflaps still dont eliminate all the chips.

OMG! Well snow has once again returned to western Washington tonight... I went out to the mall for dinner all was good no snow come out from dinner and there is a new fresh coating of snow everywhere... the last batch just got all gone a week ago or so too...

Well I managed to make it home but it was a very nerve racking drive... Lowered and suspension modded Gen II R/C w/ Detroit locker and 275 bfgs does not do well in any amount of snow...

Drive started out with traffic by the mall, this wasn't too bad except every time I stopped and had to start again the rearend slid a foot to the right...

Then I finally made it traffic and all to the on-ramp, now the freeway is not any bit of a large incline like roads in town are but the danm on-ramp goes uphill... Anyways yeah everyone stopped at the turn-in because a Mercedes lost it going up and was stalled out 2/3 the way up... when i had to move forward again the rear-end slid a crap to and i almost hit a curb but thankfully i got traction and got moving again enough to make the turn and give the on-ramp a try...

So I get to about where the Merc. stalled and the rear starts sliding to him... had to stop or i'd hit him then i backed up straightened out did it again.. same deal third try same deal fourth try i got even farther away for the start the rearend slid out i kept on the throttle and it kept the rearend from sliding further to him and i basically crab walked the truck within inches of the Merc. and barely crawled up onto the freeway... slid around a whole bunch since the on-ramp merging bit had seen little traffic kept her going straight and fell into some ruts and babied it along the freeway keeping some speed but lugging the motor in 4th gear...

Then got to town had to crawl it in the low gears to keep from having to stop at the stupid lights for fear of not being able to move again safely... And to top it all off my street is on a hill... I made it within a car length of the turn in before i stopped to a crawl though the detroit saved the day here with both tires spinning in 3rd gear mind you she actually kept crawling up the hill very slowly but i made it barely but i made it.

Whew sorry for the lengthy write haha but very nerve racking drive since my trucks for dry weather turns not off roading or snow haha. I got caught with my pants down though... chains wont fit my tires so yeah...
