Engine noise

Just curious and I am really not too worried....

...my 03 Durango (which I just got a couple weeks ago) has the 5.9....Now, at idle or when I am driving, I can hear a bit of tapping.....not ping and not knowck...justwhat I percieve as a litle lifter noise....

Now, my 92 Dakota 318 has the same kinda noise, and had it for 120k miles, so I am notworried....but just making sure this is still normal...

Its not LOUD but its thee...thoughts?

mine does that too, but ive heard alot of other dakotas that sound the same.

is there any reason to why they do this? is it kinda like the distinctive mopar whine right before the engine turns over?

Its because the magnum motors have roller lifters all roller motors sound like that.
