So somehow the center caps keep fallin off my rims. I lost the right front two weeks ago but I had a spare. Now it fell off again as well as the right rear. No one in my complex has a Dak or a Rango so I dunno whats going on. Anyone know where I can find a pair?
On top of everything, every time I start a project on my truck I either run out of time or don't have the right tools for the job. I'm going nuts here. Got two days off coming up and if I don't get something done I'm gonna give up.

are you putting them on the right way? they are marked which side is supposed tobe closest to the valve stem, so make sure you're not just slapping them on there.
also, makesure they are not broken on the back side.
the dealership might still have some. but they're like $35 a piece from them.

when you find one, take about 12-14 inches of black electrical tape and wrap the litle plastic teeth with it and then pop them in, trust me... they wont fall out again after doing that.
I did that to mine when i still had the stock wheels, and the only way to get them out was to push them out from the inside of the wheel

Great idea!
I got a similar effect with a little bit of clear rtv.

Someone snatched one of mine a few weeks back. There's a Durango the next street over of identical color. I can't prove it's mine. I was thinking about eventually just painting the Ram's head black or something to mark the outside.
I still haven't gotten another one. People want too much.

or you can use the silicone, he'd have to push it out through the back

If you have the 6 lug 16's, they don't offer the silver ones anymore. You've gotta buy a set of 4 chromes. I've got 3 of the old style ones, same thing happened to me. They just fall off, the plastichrome helps keep em more rigid.

That would explain why the silvers are so expensive. Do you have a picture of the 4 chromes? Are they similar or the ones on the 20" Rams? I was just going that route if I couldn't get silver.

I'm gonna try a junk yard around here.
They are the 6 lug 15's from '99 so hopefully I can find one or two still lying around. I guess this is more of an incentive to go for the 18" steelies I've been wanting.

I think I just had someone snatch one of my center caps off my dakota. I went out one day and on my drivers side rear tire it was missing. I am sure someone took it. as they never came loose or nothing. oh well gotta love thieves. now it bugs the shit out of me every time I look at it

Mine keep coming off. I have like 1 left. So I took it off and will just go with the rice look until I can find some that will fit and work and not cost me an arm and leg.

I lost a bunch of them too... managed to get the older silver version from centercaps.net, plus a couple of marked-up spares from a friend who buys damaged rims to make aluminum alloy...
I also went the silicone route... just took a tube and squeezed a thick bead around the 'teeth', pressed the caps in... they've held for a good 8 or 10 months now, probably close to 20,000 miles...

craziest thing is the caps stayed on when I just drove 2600 miles cross country and now that i'm just driving around town they fall off.
I just bought the new style ones as a set from ebay..
Far more secure and they look fine..
Reason I replaced mine was some goof ball decided he needed one of my center caps more than I did, a set of new ones was cheaper than a single old style.

i got a set (4) of the chrome ones for 45 dollars from the stealership.they wanted 25 a piece for the old style. I think the new ones look better and the holding tabs are way better they have a metal ring that pushes out on the tabs (like a hubcap).I havent lost the new ones yet and i lost 3 of the old one in 2 days of the trails around here.

well I was hoping to start doing some wheeling out here soon so maybe I'll just invest in some new ones. I'm hoping by this spring to have enough cash laying around for new rims and tires though so we'll see what happens.
