Wait wait. They laid you off? What was their reason? Downsizing? Thats fing bulls**t. Did this company contact you to go work for them? I woudl go talk to a attorney that specializes in employment law. I dont know if its exactly legal for them to do that. maybe it is legal but if they contacted you and wanted you to come work for them I woudl definately make life a living hell if it were to happen to me. Not because of anything but Im a vengeful mother f'er if someone were to do that to me.

i had come down here in july to visit family and job hunt and they called me after i got back to ohio and wanted me to come work for them so i moved down labor day worked for two weeks and they then decided to down size due to the economy and i was first to be let go cause i was the new guy

There're alot of jobs in Michigan, they just all require years of college and larger degrees. All pay nearly 6 figures as well. I just wish they'd take the time to hire in people that are intelligent enough to learn through them at a lower salary... but that's just my opinion.

Most trucking companies retain 3 out of 10 for more than one year. Most quit withing the first three months.

Out of those three that stay 1 year plus...one will make it to two years with the company
