Here's your chance to save some money and get in on a Group Buy for a complete custom billet pulley set for the 3.9/5.2/5.9. These pulleys are available in either a polished aluminum finish, or a triple plated chrome finish. They are normally priced at $850 plus shipping for the polished set, and $950 plus shipping for the chrome version. The Group Buy price will be $800 w/ FREE shipping included for the polished version, or $900 w/ FREE shipping included for the chrome version.
We need at least 5 folks to make this happen. If we exceed 5 buyers, I maybe able to get these even cheaper. If you add your name in here, please be a serious buyer as we don't need folks backing out at the last minute. I'll leave this thread up until we reach 5 buyers at that point I will need to collect funds from everyone to place the GB order. Here's the current GB participants....
1. WraithR/T
2. Starscream
3. Poisonous
4. 2K R/T
5.
More info on these pulleys can be seen at http://www.sidewindercustoms.com/pulleys.html
And here's couple of pics (pics show the polished aluminum version)

Stock size. I went down the underdrive route before and had nothing but cooling and charging issues, so these are all stock size.

Sure, it's pretty much going to be extended until we can reach 5 folks at least. So far, nobody has put their name down officially.

Pros of Polished....
-Won't chip or flake off
-Finish can be brought back to life with some elbow grease
Pros of Chrome....
-Plated metal that doesn't scratch easily
-Finish is easy to up keep
Cons of each are pretty much the Pros of the other.

Not year dependent, but engine dependent. These will fit the 3.9/5.2/5.9 Magnum engines.

I'm testing the waters with this first set. If these sell well, then I'll look into the 3.7/4.7 series.

yeah, given the cost, it'd take a little saving up for, and i still need to do my suspension and brakes before i think of doing any other projects...

Not yet. Lots of interest, but no additional commitments just yet. Hopefully by the end of this week I can fill the last two spots. Went to a car show this weekend and met an '01 Durango owner with the 5.9 who seemed interested, but still not sure.

They do look great and i actually looked at them on the site but thats a crazy ass amount of money for a few shinney pulleys. Half the price youd probably sell the shit outa them imo. $850 can get me lots of other things

Check prices for full billet pulley kits made by other companies. This is a good deal.

While I certainly appreciate your comments, I hope you understand that custom made pulleys can get incredibly expensive to manufacture. If you look into similar pulley kits (I say similar because their has not been a direct kit for this engine made until now) you would see that some of those prices from Billet Specialties, March Performance, Zoops, etc.... can be in the $1500 to $2000 price range for complete kits. And remember those are huge companies that can produce hundreds of kits and have them stocked. I have these for sale on a made to order basis and I'm at nearly half the price of most other kits out there.
They may not be for everyone, but that just makes them a more unique item and certainly set off an engine bay.

Nope. Still at 3 and holding. I'm going to give till the end of this month (2 weeks). At that time if we have 5 buyers , great. If not I'll see what I can do to still make this happen for those of you who have already commited and have been very patient waiting for additional participants. I won't abandon you guys.

Darren,
Does that mean that after the 3 or 5 folks, they will not be available again or that the GB pricing is gone?

I'll proceed with the 3 of you guys. Whatever the difference is I'll have to absorb it unless the manufacturer is feeling generous and will make me three sets at the GB price. But I'm not counting on it. Either way you guys should not have to suffer cause nobody else stepped up for the 4th & 5th spots.

:bump: OK, new update time. My pulleys manufacturer is slammed till SEMA for any custom work, so I'm extending the deadline to get in the on Group Buy until mid-November. At that time I'll collect funds and place the order to get these made.
Custom + Dodge= back burner for these manufacturing companies so again big thanks to the initial 4 guys in the GB for their patience.
