I think they all came with 5.9 engines. The name seems like more of an appearance package though. I dont know what they have for suspension but the seem to have something done to it. I would like to know that as well. They are nice trucks and I really like the look but I found out long ago that they didnt even come standard with an LSD. I was surprised when I saw a one wheel burnout by one.
Funny story actually. The owner was talking shit about my friends camaro at a car show and then he attempts a burnout and only smokes one tire. So when he stopped, I made sure to yell out, "Hey that was cool, now can you spin the other one?" There was a big group of people there and they all started laughing at him. I felt kind of bad since he was a Dodge owner with a nice looking truck but he was a prick.

Pretty sure they came with the LSD, but that doesn't mean his wasn't broken. But yes, it was basically just an appearance package with a few more "standard" features. Pretty much what a Ram R/T would have been. 3.92 gears, 2.9, 46RE, LSD, wheels and tires. Not sure if they had any special suspension or not.

no I remember seeing the options for it after that because I assumed his was just broken. I want to say it was only a $50 option (maybe $150) but it wasnt a standard thing and you would think that most would still have ordered it.

Pretty much its a ram 1500 regular cab with different wheels and racing stripes and decals. As for the lsd I couldn't tell you but my dad has a 98ss/t and its slow runs a 15.7 in the 1/4. The suspension is the same as a regular 1500.

S-10 Xtreme is the funniest joke GM's had in a long time. Around here people seem to think they're really special though, there's several around in the Park N Sell lots for $10K+ :funny:

Appearance package only. The rest of the truck is the same as a Ram SLT.

Most Shelby Durangos have the KB supercharger on them and are lowered with Shelby wheels. Came in 2wd and awd versions. Only difference though is the Shelby Durango'ss weren't a "factory" truck. They were modified by Shelby after they left the production line.

Your missing a few key options.
factory cat-back
17'' performance wheels/tires
rear sway bar
As far as perfomance, they have the same running gear as an R/T and weigh a touch less than an extended cab dakota R/T,so do the math.

That doesn't say much for the bone stock capabilities of a CC Dakota R/T.

The performance was on par with what GM and ford had out those days. I had a Sierra GT ( full size truck looked like a 454ss without the 454 motor) and it ran 15s also. back then the truck HP wars werent in full swing yet and just like today people will buy a appearance package over a performance package. hell theire more profitable. If I were a bean counter for auto maker and someone told me I coudl sell a lot of cars if I put a stupid 200$ in options and stickers and sell it for 2700$ more than the highest level I got made and it only cost me 200$ to make and its a proven profit margin I woudl do it also

Also, the SS/T's came with an option of a rotted out bumper as soon as they seen road salt. I have never seen an SS/T with a solid rear bumper.

Lesser image than the Indy trucks. The Indy was/is the R/T equal in the Rams. I really want an Indy Santa! hehe!! 60 year olds can dream too ya know.
