Cam/Head question for AIR RAM!

Hey,

ill be looking to purchase a set of ur heads in early december (funds plz be with me!) as well as a cam set up

now i am having a hard time finding the 3.7L cams that KRC is supposed to sell. (its not specific) and im looking at the KRC 200 cam. (i thought 3.7L have 2 cams? will i need 2?)

how will this kind of cam run with ur heads?

should i go with the more race prepped heads or will the stock prepped heads be ok?

main uses are 4x4ing, some hauling (deer, moose), and gentle cruises down the highway lol

if u can give me a hand that would be great!

( edit: aswell how will these changes affect mpg? im quite fond of the mileage now but it can barely climb a hill...i would be hoping that because this will mainly just increase how easily the engine works mileage might stay the same or go up a tad...?)

The problem with ANY regrind is the fact that you remove low end torque to make more high RPM end HP. If your looking to use these in your 4x4 I would just keep the stock cams and port the heads. In my opinion you would have more with less in this situation. We can get you re-ground 3.7L cams but they would be more for "RACING" then anything else... and by your description above you said NOTHING about racing. So that leads me to believe your looking for more low end torque...

I will take a look at your cam options to see if we can get one to make more low end torque... then the heads would take care of the top end. But as it stands... I don't think you would like a regrind that losses low end torque.

And yes your engine uses TWO cams.

thanks again! well if i can get some good power out of JUST the heads i might just spring for the econo heads and use the money spent on the cams for the install of these puppies :D

then get my tru duals going :D
