can someone start a gb for larger radiators or larger fans. I know JM has a nice direct fit radiator and I think someone on dakotart.com is making a nice fan/shround combo.

Interested as well. Is it just swap old radiator out and this goes in or do we need a new fan setup as well?

not sure. I would think you would need a new fan setup since the rad is probably thicker than the stock one.
Can somebody start this cause I have no idea what to do.

I think a combination of the JM rad and this fan/shroud would be a sweet setup.

Your best bet would be to call John and ask him whether it's possible to get a GB rate on the item.
However, I know from observing automotive forums that items like this will most likely be difficult to get a large quantity of buyers at once though, since there's a relatively small market for them. Only a small percentage of people on the forums are running combos that need a radiator upgrade, and I would be surprised if there was many people who were on the verge of ordering one pending a price drop - either they wanted one and bought it anyways, or decided to go without one.

well I talked to john a little while ago and he said that the rads have been discontinued. There are 3 people (including me) asking him to find another company to make them. He said they would go for about 600. Maybe if more people called he would find another company. But as you said sin theres not many people interested in a new radiator.

I dont know much about rads and pricing but i dont mind paying a little more for something thats a direct fit unlike universal ones where you dont only have to find a way to mount it you also have to find a way to mount the ac and trans cooler

Home depot/ lowes sells steel plates and length rails in different sizes- then just cut and weld- Problem solved

Even the BeCool direct drop-in's are not direct drop-in's. I don't know of any outside of a stocker that is actually a real drop n and go. Plus on my setup with a oil cooler and trans cooler, it's a lot to make sure it all fits aftermarket instead of just getting a new stocker, the advantages of a new stocker over a 8 year old used unit, etc.
Get me a GB on a new stocker and I'm in.

Thats my shroud I designed and had built. I can also do radiators as I did the one off custom for Scott Q's truck. I dont have any affiliation with scott, I just did the radiator for him. He then went and told everybody that it was the one Be cool built. That was all BS. I have the original photos of the radiator before it went in his truck. I have extensive experience with cooling systems. My family owns several radiator shops and I started working in them at the age of 9, back in 1979.

Life has been hectic and there was so little interest. I have my new prototype done but havent installed it. With things slowing down I should be finishing it up soon! email me at stevenz@socal.rr.com and I'll keep you informed as to when I finish and test the new one out. There is also a new digital controller out for thie spal fans that we are going to be using. I just need to buy one and swap out my earlier version of the controller.

even with my big block pushing 500 hp, my stock radiator has kept up to the cooling tasks. hell, it almost works TOO well!
if the weather is below 65, the damn water temps won't go above 150, and I had to block off part of the radiator with cardboard so I could get my temps up to 180. in 95 degree city traffic, my water never went over 190.

do you have the single row radiator in your truck now? that's what i have in my white truck (not sure on the amber one) i bought a replacement from Summit for ~$175 and it's a two row. this should be plenty for my needs. should be here today.

lol this thread is from 6/08. My fan keeps me right at 180. Once I go over its back down to 180 within a couple seconds. Just curious do you have the part number for the rad?

Not really selling them anymore. There was never any interest. It would be in the 350 range for the fan and shroud. You also would need to buy the spal controller. I think those are about another $100. for Version 3.
