Does the S&B Air Filter that you have listed up to 1998 work on ALL the 5.9L Dakota/Durangos? I have an 03 & like the closed box design better than the open element like the rest of the products out there.

Unfortunately no they do not offer an intake for your applications. The body style has changed quite a bit between 1998 & 2003... and the body has everything to do with each system fitting.

I think you should go with the:

AFE Power 54-10132 Im guessing our cost to be in the ball park of 220.00-230.00 shipped.

This is a great intake and offers everything you should be looking for in a good intake.

But isn't the 97-04 body style the same? What did they change in the engine compartment? Just curious. I'll look into that AFe intake as well.

Another reason why I ask is because the majority of the other manufacturers offer their intakes for the same vehicle w/same eng 5.9L for all the years from 1997-2004 (or some are 2002). You even have them listed on your site that way

I couldn't see why the S&B Intake #75-1509 wouldn't fit on our 03 Dakota's?

Looking on a competitor's website I noticed that you can get the S&B cover custom engraved for free. Do you have that option avail thru S&B? Because I would like to either have a blank cover, or one engraved with our R/T logo. Is that possible?

Its being drop shipped from S&B and last I heard from them it went out yesterday... But the order was received and we placed the order with the manufacture the same day.

We will send you an update as soon as we get one.. normally they send us a tracking number.

I received my kit this past friday. I guess there was a shipping issue. That got resolved rather quickly by S&B. Great customer service by AirRam & S&B.
I will be installing this kit tomorrow. I will try & post some pix. My computer isn't working so we'll see what I can do.

I appologize for that mix up... they called me the day we place the order asking for a credit card number... I informed the lady on the phone that we had a 2,000.00 credit with them and that she should not need one... she looked it up and confirmed it and told us it would go out that day... apparantly she did NOT get things straight because I have sent them several e-mails and then they called me again a couple of days ago asking the same darn thing... I was very upset with them. The lady on the phone said she would over night it immediately... and apparantly she did.

Im not sure what they did over there to get it mixed up and then take so long to get it right... But Im glad they did. I cant wait to see some pictures.

So...anyway....I got it installed. No real problems....BUT...it does seem that there have been a few changes between 1999 & 2003.
One example, & we all know, is how Dodge did the coolant reservoir, etc. One thing that I'm not sure people knew about, however, is that the cruise control got moved. I'm not sure where it was before, BUT, where the S&B box goes, is right where the cruise control module is.
So, obviously since I'd rather have better performance, mpg, etc., I removed the cruise control from my truck.
Just thought I'd let you all know that it will work....with modification

I'm looking into ordering a new air filter probably within the next week...just need to decide on which to get...probably will go the S&B route rather than K&N. If so I'll give you my business since you're carrying the product now and a site supporter/vendor. Thanks for posting your new product line, I wouldn't have known otherwise.
