Hey since the last post for a NW meet i saw was on.. 06-22-2007. I figured I would bump the idea of starting one for summer of 08' we should have both trucks running around then might take em both or just the blue one I dunno.
Any takers?

Do any of you guys go to Reiter's Pit? I would love to meet up w/ some dodge guys and do some offroading sometime. I see the same train of 5-6 toyotas each time I go out there...would be nice to se an AMERICAN train like that!

I haven't but I have a friend with a monster jeep who always go-if I could get the body lift on my truck so I can uncrank my torsion bars a little then I would. Mud is fun but my front end is 2 stiff to go rock and log climbing.

I'd love to if my baby is up and running with the new motor by then, though couldn't participate in any offroad fun :(

haha sorry montana isnt quite the NW...
reiter sounds fun but its more of a technical place than a majority of guys could make it. (being their DD).
So maybe we should plan a wheelin trip after our meet n greet? like meet friday, wheelin saturday?

Tell me, what would you call it then? Many parts of Washington are closer to Missoula and Kalispell than to Seattle.
Where is this place you guys are talking about? Far West?
SASclubcab4x4
03-24-2008, 04:44 PM
true. if you want to cross idaho and then over the WA mountains. reiter is just on the other side of the mountains (west) off US-HWY2. search for reiter pit

A meet and greet and then the following day wheelin sounds good if people can handle that much time. You don't have to do the rock/ log climbing. There are plenty of puddles out there to play in as well as some fun mud/ bumps. I do BARELY squeak through some of the trails that go through the woods though w/ my durango as they seem more for small suv/trucks. My Avatar is from Reiter. Here are a couple pics I posted on some other thread.

This was all done w/ my stock DD Durango 4x4, we don't have to get too extreme. Although I am hoping to have a 3" PA Body lift and 2" T/S lift by the time we meet up.
Couple Vids of me and my bro driving. My Bro went through the puddle nice and slow so my frien thought it would be cool to hang out the durango and get on camera...he had no idea what was in store for him (last video)! haha

yeah, most my experiences of reiter are on a quad. its only 20-30min from me depending on traffic.
a meet n greet one day then a wheelin drive the next day sounds like the answer. however nobody is required to show up for both (especially the wheelin). but are encouraged to come! ill go for both mostly since i dont know anyone off the boards.
SO lets see who is all interested then plan a time and place from there?
Irish_Bro
03-25-2008, 05:12 AM
Sounds like a plan, I am VERY interested in Both the Meet and Wheelin'. And like SASclubcab4x4 said I would love to meet up w/ you guys for 1 or both events.

Just say when...and I can do it.
I most likely wouldnt be able to meet cause I work every Saturday all summer, but there are the Moses Lake Sand Dunes also that you might conider for a place to off road at. Its right smack in the center of Wa state. That place is insane on Memorial Day weekend.
Most of these pics are the dunes. Got to the pictures.

That's true, I would love to go there as well although it is more of a fun in the sun kinda place:D. So if I were to go there it would most likely need to be mid-late summer so I could make a weekend of it and hit up the lake too! I believe it would be a longer trek for most people as well since it seems to be most people are on the WEST SIIIIDE:mullet:!

haha im down for the dunes. will need to buy a longer flag though cause ive only been on quads... maybe if ppl like the wheelin trip we can plan a trip to the dunes as well?
i should have my white dakota running by summer. MAYBE depends on how soon i can buy that wagoneer axle and get it swapped in.

The only problem with XXX in Issaquah is that they are pretty much booked up every weekend in the spring, summer, & early fall with shows of some sort....we would be hard pressed to squeeze in our little get together....
My suggestion: (take it for what it's worth & consider the source)
Find a burger joint to meet at, order food, and then all of us leave with our food and cruise to some park close by....

Lowered Grey R/C Gen II w/ 17" Black Cragers on 'er my bed sides all crappy though it used to be a work truck :/ I seen a few nice daks and durangos 'round here but I don't think any are on this forum :(

3" Pa body lift- I already had the add-a-leafs and new torsion bar keys on it but I lowered the front suspension about an inch after I put the lift on to soften up the front end. Still measuring from the ground to the fender lip edge I'm sitting at 42.5" up front and 45" in the back which is about 7" higher than it was stock. Oh ya that is with the 33" tires also though....
SASclubcab4x4
04-15-2008, 05:32 PM
right on, im going to do a body lift here in the next week or so on my 97'. Then get some 33s but i plan on swapping in a D44 in the front.

Just my 2 cents here....Friday meetings might be tough for some of the working folk, (like me), also.....driving Friday afternoon or evening really sucks in Seattle area freeways.....might be better to meet Saturday morning for burgers and then cruise somewhere......
Just my opinion, consider the source.

I agree with the problem a Friday would create with Traffic and people getting off work different times. Saturday morning breakfast, or lunch meet somewhere would be better in my opinion. Just my $.02...

04-24-2008, 07:38 PM
I wouldn't be able to get up there at a decent hour if you guys had this on a Friday, but would be all over it if you met on a Saturday for a couple of hours.

yeah we need to settle on a date then figure out a time. and maybe the next week have a wheelin trip.
I dont know if my wife's 00' dakota will be ready by then, its the nice looking one and the one we wanted to take to the meet. So we'll probably just take my wheelin rig (97 kota) to both meets.
Any input on a date and other ideas for a place??
elfman
05-15-2008, 10:21 PM
I'm open to places since you guys are the locals you probably have a better idea of a great place to have this thing. As far as dates go I would vote for anything after June. Or, before the 21st of June. putting it farther to maybe get more things planned and attendees.

05-24-2008, 07:57 AM
I think I am good whenever we want this thing to happen. How about July 14-15th weekend? Or sometime around then? That way June is out and we don't do it the weekend right after the 4th either.
On a side not, I wanted to thank SASClubCab4x4. BOth my wheel bearings were TOASTED! I jacked her up and coud wiggle both of them and man were they squeaky. I sure am glad I didn't lose either tire on the freeway. Anyway, I replaced both wheel bearings so I am in good shape again.
Little Blue Guy
05-25-2008, 12:50 AM
I say we do it in July, but not the 5th or 6th either.....so that would leave the following dates:
July 12th & 13th
July 19th & 20th
July 26th & 27th
These are Saturday's & Sundays people....
We are open any of those days....I figure a Saturday would be best....

I was thinking off 45th as well. Seattle center can be a BitCH to park at. Lake city one is ok but not much of a parking lot either.
Little Blue Guy
06-01-2008, 01:17 AM
I tried calling both places today...all I got was a recording saying the main office was closed and to call back during the hours of operation that they were open.
So, I guess Saturday, July 12th at the Wallingford Dick's Drive-In will be Ok with everyone? Figure we can't please everyone with the Saturday date, but I think it will work for most of us here. They open at 10:30am in the morning....Here is link to the Wallingford location....----> http://www.ddir.com/store_wallingford.html .....Address and small map is there......
If the weather is nice, the Wife & I will bring Little Blue Guy and the Daytona...it needs a run once in a while anyway....we live down here next to Federal Way....if anyone coming up from the south wants to drive up there with us, send me a PM and I will give you my phone number....

I am hoping to make it, but have to clear it with the boss (wife). Hey Bryan, I wouldn't mind hooking up to drive in together, but beings that I am down here in Portland would take me a bit to get there. I'll send a PM as soon as the boss clears the trip!

So far im still gonna be there. I have e few projects Im gonna try to do this weekend since we have the extra day for the 4th. Wanna put a new grille in and performance tune up, but before I do the grille, I need to make a relocated hood latch opener. Got a great idea for a nice one, I'll see how it turns out.

The Northwest meet took place today at Dick's Drive In located in Wallingford area of Seattle. Little did we know that there was going to be a parade & street fair on the very street we were trying to drive on to get to the burger place....but after a few turns and driving a few back roads, we arrived.
I wish to thank the following members who ventured out and showed up to make this little get together possible:
Chris (360MagDurango)
Tyson (tjbugs1)
Joel (elfman) (he & his wife drove up from Portland)
Paul (pimpedstratus)
Derek & Christie (SASclubcab4x4)
Myself (Bryan - Little Blue Guy) and my wife Rose who drove the funny purple car in the last picture.
Pictures are below of the vehicles that came to visit....I think if this is going to be a yearly event, my wife made the suggestion that we would like to hold next years event at our house...we have plenty of parking, BBQ will be on us...just a thought guys....
It was good to put faces with members we all have been talking to over the years..... :mullet:

right on man! yeah we were late and there was insane detours the whole way!!
sorry you couldnt make it the food was pretty spectacular ;) but yeah there will be more meets. next one I would like to get planned is a trip to the dunes over east or maybe the oregon dunes. BUT thats a 4x4 meet, no 2wd or daytonas are gonna make it :).
91dak239
07-13-2008, 04:12 AM
haha yeah I can't hit the dunes with my baby, she'd get stuck waaaay easy ;) Yeah it was mostly the darn detours that screwed with me since I was coming in a back way and got detoured pretty far away, didn't know what was goin' on but my suspension is not friendly in Seattle so I was taking a lil bit of a beating and after a bit I gave up :( thankfully coming from Bothell its not like I'm terribly far out. I will most certainly come to any other meets we can get going though so long as I don't work.
I was thinkin all the northwesterners at the meet today while I was at work. I was there in spirit. Good pics, are there any more posted somewhere else? I especially like the two 4x4 Kotas:mullet: Lookin good guys:clap2:

Thanks for the meet guys. It was great to get out and meet some fellow Dak/Dur lovers. If it wasn't for Bryan and Tyson, I surely would have been lost in a second. Too many detours!!!
Oh, and just so you all know, Cabella's is a trap!!! I spent another 4 hours there before I was back on the road again! And Tyson, thanks for the directions on that one, I surely wouldn't have found it otherwise.
Looking forward to the next meet!
