If you are 100% certain you are going to attend the Mopars at the Strip event which is being held April 1-3 in Las Vegas, Nevada at LVMS please check in with this thread.

Post up your name, city/state, and what hotel you have registered at. If possible please add some sort of contact information (e-mail address, phone, etc.) so people can get ahold of you in order to organize meetings, after-event partying, convoys to/from the event, etc.

I'm 99.9999% sure I'll be there. Got the time off work, mailed in entry form and $50 for the car show already, and got an appointment to have the Stomper Super detailed head to toe. I just hope I can talk the wife into the new Ghost Flame paint job between now and then.................

- I'm leaving Olympia around 3AM Wednesday morning.
- I figure I can make it to atleast Sacramento by 4 or 5 PM traveling straight down I-5.
- Spending the night in Sacramento somewhere.
- Leaving Sacramento around 3AM Thursday should be able to make it to Vegas by 3 or 4PM I think.
- I'll be coming into Vegas Via I-15.
- Also staying at the Super 8 by Nellis, 30 Mar - 2 April.

Is this a realistic timeline, input from some of you Cali drivers would be nice :biggthump

I plan on leaving here wed night sometime and I will also be getting to LV on thursday night. You know its a faster route for you to go through Reno don't you??

well, just tried to call ya but for some reason cant get through. if ya do come that way, use RT 99 out of Sac to Bakersfield then use the 58, that will take you to Barstow. takes me ~ 8 or so hours to get to LV from SD, so im usually in Barstow noon-ish. Check YAHOO maps for a time line and gage off if that. use my celly number above for reference. :wave:

Change of plan after talking to John, thanks :biggthump Now taking 99 into Bakersfield. I never actually planned on going I-5 to I-15, I just wasn't sure where the cut off was to cutout going thru the LA area.

Alright after much debating..I will go..hey it falls on the weekend of my B Day so figured what better way to celebrate than rollin' to Vegas...When a caravan is set up let me know...and I will ask for Friday Apr. 1st off at my work...so everything set...except for the Hotel...I'll figure that one out later..

I've never received an official confirmation in the past. If you're concerned that your registration didn't go through I'm sure you can e-mail or call them at the contact info at www.moparsatthestrip.com to confirm everything is ok. If you paid via PayPal or credit card you could probably print out a snapshot of your payment on your computer and bring that along just in case there's any issues at the gate - I've never had any problems in the past.

If you're only coming to the event for one day then you can just buy a spectator pass when you get to the track. If you think you will be there for at least two out of the three days then you should probably go ahead and put your Durango in the car show - that way you get to park inside the event next to the other Dakotas/Durangos in the car show instead of having to walk all the way from the parking lots.

I don't know of any shuttles going out to the speedway, there's just too many places for people to stay for a reliable route.

Because the speedway is on the complete opposite side of town from the airport, it may cost just as much to get a limo as it would to take a taxi.

Last year's Mopars at the Strip brought record temperatures in the low 90's, it looks like this year it will be in the high 70's with sunshine all weekend. Trust me from personal experience at this track - BRING SUNSCREEN!
