Only problem I have heard the 4.7's having is the screen on the oil pickup can get clogged pretty easy starving motor of oil and leading to blown engine. Haven't seen it often but I have seen it. If mpg is not a concern get the 5.9, the little bit of extra tq and hp really move them along pretty good. The 5.2 doesn't get much better mpg maybe 1 better. Where abouts in Mo are you from...

I believe they stopped using 318's after 2000, which could explain the rareity.
Welcome!
(Come ride in my 4.7, you'll not have any regrets buying one later on...:drive:)

i'll sell u a white one. with american racing wheels already on it. and i could even leave the 15 inch SONY'S in the back for you for the right price. *warning* needs a couple of little things. not major. just wanted to warn you.

Welcome to the site. 114,000+ miles on my 4.7 so far, no problems. Sludge issues can be reduced by changing your oil regularly, using quality oil, and a quality oil filter.
