i hate my neighbors

my wife and i have only been living in our house since july, and before we even owned it, the bastards next door were bothering us about shit that the people who lived there before us didnt do anything about. I work nights so i sleep during the day and right now our bedroom isnt finished so our bed is in our living room. Yesterday i was sleeping and my asshole neighbor is outside running his snowblower. hes got 2 of them, i went outside and calmly asked him if he was going to run the other one too. he said no, i told him i wanted to know because i was sleeping and it woke me up. He goes well its 11 oclock, and you come home at 1:30 am with your boom box blaring blah,blah.
ive got only one 10 inch sub in my explorer its not very loud even if i crank it up, my wife cant hear anything when i come home and neither can the people that live on the other side of my house. so the only thing he can hear is my exhaust its not that loud either but i can hear it when my wife drives it.
well anyway i go back to sleep and a few minutes later their daughter and grandkid is outside and the kid is bouncing a ball and screaming her head off, and i hear the kids mother say to the kid to scream louder. than when they are leaving they crank their stereo and are singing at the top of their lungs. they come back and are doing the same thing. they havent left their house at all today but if they do and pull that shit again im calling the cops. i know they probably wont do anything if they come at all. if thats the case ill make them stop my own way. sorry for the long rant but those assholes ruined our first home buying experience.

I hate neighbors too. They're being petty. I don't understand it. When I was a kid and we were outside playing if we got too loud our parents would come out and tell us to quiet down. Now all the kids in this neighborhood do is scream bloody murder the intire time they're outside. :rant:The parents just go inside and close the doors so they don't have to hear it. I guess thats why they don't say anything. If they make them come inside they'll just scream in there and they don't want to hear it. They figure as long as they can't hear them it doesn't matter. Also when we had a dog. If we let him out and he started barking when got him in right away so it didn't annoy the neighbors. A lot of other people did back then too. Not anymore. There is a family down the block behind us that immediately let there little yap yap dog outside and it barks constantly. After a while I got tired of it and went around the block to ask them nicely to keep the dog quiet. The "guy" (thats how I'm gonna say it) gets smart with me. I look at him and say there are ordenances. Shut the dog up or I'm callin the cops. Shut him up quick. I hate most of the people I live around. But since I can't afford to live in the woods I guess I gotta deal with it. But I'm only gonna deal with so much.

The part about the snow blower at 11am. There really isn't much you can do about that though. I understand that you work nights but the normal time people do things outside is during the day. You wouldn't have much ground to stand on there. The music and screaming to be assholes is out of line though. I don't know if the cops will even be bothered with it but I'm sure there is something you can do.

i know there was nothing i could do about the snowblower, i dont expect people to put their lives on hold so i can sleep. all i wanted to know was if he was going to run the other one. if he was i just wouldve waited til he was done to go back to sleep. he didnt have to get smart with me. i cant wait til out bedroom is done so i wont have to sleep on the first floor anymore. oh and i think one of them keyed my wifes car too. since it was on the street and not in our driveway

Kind of like my neighbor who complained about our dog being a "nuisance" because apparently she was barking nonstop all day while we were gone. Thing is is my dog didn't bark unless someone rings or knocks on the door, but she was outside where she couldn't hear those noises. Anyway the reason I'm calling them dickheads is cause guess what their dog does all day nonstop when it's outside? Hell even when my dog was outside while their dog was barking their head off, my dog was just walking around the backyard being quite. And yea I could complain back, but if I'm a heavy sleeper and a dog barking really doesn't bother me. That's when I just turn up the volume on what I'm doing. Not to mention they could complain about me being loud cutting metal or just using power tools in my garage at early mornings around 7am and late nights around 9pm, but they don't.

My old neighbors used to be annoying drunken assholes. Loud, obnoxious and tried to always get in our business and tried to peep in the windows.

Moved in Summer this year and couldn't be happier. Out of respect of the neighbors younger kids, I try to have my truck back home and in the garage no later than 9:30PM.

Im glad my neighbors are normal. I only have two that live across the street from me. There is an empty lot to our left, and a house to our right but they live over in Europe and are only there like two months out of the year. Most of the people on my street are really nice. Theres always the one or two assholes though!:argue:

I recomend putting a cutout in your explorer, preferably one you can switch from inside the cab. Pull in to the house every night running straight pipes, windows rolled all the way down, and radio blaring.

The town we live in is filled with hispanics. I dont know why but they seem that every time they pull up to a house or go by a house where they know someone they honk. And its them little jap cars that have the high pitched horn. Both of my neighbors to the left and right, early in the morning honk there horn a few times then get out and go in... I HATE IT.. the one to my right does it on the dot 7:30 every day exactly 7 times,, even sat and sun. Makes me so mad. But I got the ones to my left with the train horn one morning, nothing out of them since haha... but the one on my right is a dickhead he used to rent from us and was nothing but an ass so we evicted his ass now he bought the house next to us.. Nothing agaist them cuz 90% of the buildings i own are full of them but why do the feel the need to honk there horns at everyone they know...

tip for your bedroom... spray sound deadener on the walls first, then insulate, then drywall. you wont hear shit then.

next time is snows real bad, knock out all their windows. wrecking other peoples property is uncalled for, so retailiation is always sweet. could just pull the oil out of thir motor, or take a set of needle nose pliers to their fuel line...hehehe

You know, I live in a pretty dense neighborhood...and I always said I wouldn't buy a house in an area such as this. But I checked out the area and neighbors first and I couldn't be happier, absolutely dead silent outside.

As satisfying as it would be to do something fun like retaliate or call the cops, just try to be civil with them. Most people will take it better if you do things face to face and are nice about it...some people cannot be reasoned with though.

kids here play noisily outside too, bouncing basketballs (even though the posted rules of the Apt complex say no ball playing) and screaming. that's what happens when the illegals move in. they have no respect for anyone. I used to get pissed when trying to take a nap after a hard day t work. but then i just invested in a good set of earplugs and it is peaceful again. I hear nothing. lol

The worst part is they don't have a fence, so they just roam our yard alot of the time. and the other neighbors just built a house close as hell next to us and they are constantly out side watching us or having party's playing country. damn am i glad i work nights.........

I have worked the night shift for close to 16 years and can now sleep through just about anything. I even slept through the city tearing out the sidewalks with jack hammers and end loaders.

The thing is learn to sleep with those little foam ear plugs and make the room as dark as you can. Plus get some kind of white noise like a fan or somthing.

I do feel lucky, and sorry you have "trailer trash" nieghbors. I live in one of those neighborhoods where everyone pretty much just does their own thing and minds their own business. My house is about 100 yards from an 8 lane freeway so it's never what you'd call 'quiet' here! Don't have any nosey neighbors or noisy ones. I mean, they make noise, so do I, but it's normal everyday noise (lawnmowers, power tools, stuff like that). Fortunatley, no kids around here, it's weird. Only annoying noise is, if I'm home during a weekday there's a day care center right across the street and when the kids are out playing the yell, scream, and talk loud but that's what little kids do when they play together. Amazing how something that small can be that loud! Anyways, your neighbors sound like a bunch of spoiled brats with no common courtesy or manners. I'm talking about the kids and the parents. My suggestion is, build a tall fence and plant a dense hedge next to the fence between your yard and theirs, if that's feasable.
