Hello everyone! Well name is Shawn and I'm from Buffalo ny...I recently put a video of me doing a burnout in my 1988 dodge dakota on Youtube and one of the guys who left a reply made mention of this website...I have to say, this is a nicely done site! Here is the like to my video...awesome sound, turn up the volume!!!

I actually have 2 Dodge Dakotas:
My daily driver and tow vehicle is an extended cab 2002 Dakota SXT 4x4 with a 3.9 liter V6. The only mods done to this truck is a 3" dynomax cat-back exhaust system, K&N filtercharger, a 12,000 pound tow capacity tranny cooler, Hayden heavy duty clutch for the fan and a summit high perfomance cap and wire (taylor 8 mm) kit. It also has 3.92 gears. I have to say I really like this truck and can't believe how well it pulled my other truck from buffalo NY to carlisle PA...through the big hills in 92 degree weather this past summer. I'm hoping to do a little more to this engine to get some more performance out of it...hope to get some info from here as well!
My other truck is a Jet black 1988 Dakota that I bought in the fall of 1999 for $100 dollars. The guy I bought it from was gonna take it to the junk yard and pretty much laughed at me when I told him that I was gonna restore an put a big block in it. I have since invested over $17,000 to fully restore and modify it. It was originally powered by a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder engine and had a 5 spd manual gear box. The current powerplant that i built is a 9.5:1 compression 1978 400 big block that has been stroked to 451 CID with a 1970 440 crank. Estimated power is 535 hp. I also built a Race prep 727 automatic with a Cheetah rev manu shift valve body and a TCI 3800 stall street fighter converter. The rear end is an 8 3/4 out of a 1972 duster and has 3.55 gears with a detroit tru-trak posi. The truck has run 11.70's at 115 mph in the quarter mile on 93 octane fuel
Anyway...I'm glad to be aboard here and hope to enjoy everthing this website has to offer! :D
