I think that the aftermarket aluminum or plastic tube that connects the filter to TB does not really affect performance from brand to brand, whether it be a K&N setup, 360-AirIntakez, IP, Volant, etc, etc. What matters the most is the filter itself attached to that tube. I have heard the best things about K&N and S&B cone filters. My $.02
