I don't know if this will apply to any members here... but I'm sure it might spark some interest in some people...

If anyone knows any history of the Detroit Tigers, you might know that Tiger Stadium was closed down back in 99... and is still standing today. There has been alot of talk about what to do with it, why hasn't it been done... and how soon to get it done.

Its also been closed off to public for quite some time. So there it has stood in Downtown Detroit as a historic landmark, but has just been deteriorating over time.

I'm apart of a photography group that had started bugging Detroit City counsel to get in for one last time.

After months and months of red tape... last Friday, we finally got into the Stadium. I myself had about 14 hours of notice, and actually had to leave work early with the 'flu' so that I could go to it.

I wanted to share my pictures...

Hope ya'll enjoy them!

Really cool pics Ken. I'm not a Tigers fan but I'm a baseball fan. Specifically a Phillies fan but that even makes me kinda sad in a way. Knowing how many memories millions of people shared and had there. You can almost see a game being played in those pics if ya look hard enough. Really cool man. I'm sure you'll never forget that day. I know I wouldn't.

Sweet. Thanks. It's a shame some people had to steal some things from it last week.

I don't think I could ever forget Mark McGwire knocking that one home run off the roof and out of the park.
