I have checked the fuses and bulbs all are good, but the brake lights are not working. Any ideas? I have read about a 'brake switch' but I haven't been able to find anything that looks obvious. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

From what I know on other cars the brake switch is right under the brake pedal arm. I had to change it on my civic and that's where it was at, I'm pretty sure the same for Durangos. I'll check mine ones I get home. I hope this helps.

There is a brake light switch it is actually a plugger type switch. If you follow the brake pedal up you will see it. It looks like a plastic rod that touches the brake pedal rod. Just follow the brake pedal up and you will see it that's what your problem is. If you still can't find it let me know and I will take a pic of mine and side it to you. Hope this helps

My passenger side brake lite works fine but not the drivers side brake lite and the bulb has been replaced with a new one. Does the switch under the brake pedal have seperate circuits for each side?

there are separate circuits that run along the frame rail. if you have a trailer harness on the truck then someone probobly point probed the frame wires allowing it to finally corrode and break. check the wires for continuity front to back on the drivers side.
