Hello to all,
I have an 01 Durango with the 4.7 liter engine and was wondering what brand of "air filter" elements have you all use/tried? I've always used the factory version but thinking about trying another from a different brand.
Anywone recommend one for me??? Have a good Monday all.

No specific recommendations, but any GOOD QUALITY air filter will be fine. By good, I mean not the $5 Wal-Mart special (you know what I mean). I use NAPA Gold filters in my '96 Dakota by the way. Used to always use Mopar brand but NAPA is a lot more convenient.

if youre just going to go with a drop in air filter and not a CAI, ive heard great things about K&N air filters.

I had a K&N drop in filter. then my wife decided to take my truck in to the dealer for a tune up which of course meant a filter change. never mind the big red and white STOP do not throw away caution sticker right on the air box. the tech took out my filter and put in a paper one. I didnt know for 3 days cause i was out of town. Came back and I never said anything cause my wife would of felt guilty and probably would cry.
i jsut replace them with Napa filters. I havent searched for any K&N filters but one of these days I will

Shouldn't need to "search", I haven't seen a parts store that doesn't carry them.....
